Each week children and parents come together to sing and listen to stories that express and support the values of the School and its community. The messages of friendship, working together, sharing, caring, self-esteem and the importance of love in our lives are shared and extend into the life of the School.
The children sit with their parents or a caregiver or special guest so that each contributes to the other’s understanding of the stories. The songs we sing come from our own Chapel songbook that contains traditional, composed and original songs chosen to align with the chapel themes and the School's mission. Bible stories and world folktales have been chosen to illuminate friendship, compassion, sharing and other chapel themes and are retold especially for the young listeners. It is not just a chapel for children; it is truly a children’s chapel.
Chapel has been an integral part of Episcopal since the School’s inception.
